SYDNEY has extended the contracts of young pair James Rose and Jack Maibaum.
The Swans duo have penned new one-year deals with the club to stay on in 2019.
Rose has played nine games for the club since being selected in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft, and has shown exciting signs at times playing as a forward.
He managed only one senior game last season.

Maibaum, a key defender, is yet to debut having joined the Swans at the 2016 NAB AFL Draft.
"Both James and Jack have been consistent performers in the NEAFL for a long time and are knocking on the door of senior selection," Sydney football manager Tom Harley said.
"It'll be good to see the pair put in another solid pre-season and continue to push for more senior opportunities next season."
