GEELONG has elevated its 25th Legend on a Hall of Fame night where Malcolm Blight was among three new life members.
Teddy Rankin, who debuted in 1891, was named a Geelong Legend at Friday night's event at GMHBA Stadium.
Blight was joined by current president Colin Carter and former player-turned-assistant James Rahilly in receiving life memberships.
In an event opened to fans for the first time, premiership Cats Brad Ottens and Max Rooke were inducted to the Hall of Fame.
Ottens and Rooke became the 14th and 15th members of their 2007 and 2009 premiership teams added to the Hall of Fame. Ottens went on to feature in the 2011 flag, his last AFL game.
Geelong also announced current chief executive Brian Cook as the recipient of the RJ Hickey Award for his services to football in the year he will become the equal longest serving CEO in AFL history in year 29.
Rankin was represented by his son Geoff, celebrating a career that started as a 19-year-old before spanning 268 games.
He captained the club on 15 occasions, played for Victorian three times and was named the 1903 best and fairest.
