THE BRISBANE Lions have upgraded rookie midfielder Billy Evans to their senior list ahead of Sunday's clash against Geelong at Simonds Stadium.
Evans has been elevated as a replacement for injured first-year player Sam Skinner, who is in the latter stages of recovering from a knee reconstruction.
Evans was the club's first selection in the 2014 AFL Rookie Draft, and played five games last season.
His elevation comes as the Lions' midfield stocks have taken a hit, with captain Tom Rockliff (calf) to miss against the Cats, and Daniel Rich (hamstring) and Mitch Robinson (calf) also in doubt.
The Lions have also submitted an application to the AFL to place Justin Clarke (retired) on the club’s long-term injury list.
No player has been nominated to transfer from the rookie list to the primary list as a replacement for Clarke at the moment.
