Minson may again be joined by fellow omitted teammate Josh Hill, with the Dogs likely to stick with developing ruckman Jordan Roughead and key position prospect Jarrad Grant for at least another week.
"Jordan did well [against Adelaide] and with any young lad, you'd like to give them a couple of games. His form was good," Eade said on Tuesday.
"It's going to be difficult to drop anyone. It will only be if [Matthew] Boyd or [Ryan] Hargrave come back."
Eade said Minson was reasonable in Williamstown's one-point loss to Sandringham in what was a tough, windy day for big men, but was instrumental in getting the side within range in the last term.
Boyd, who failed to train on Tuesday, is a chance to play but will meet his surgeon on Wednesday to discuss how his recovery from a broken hand is progressing.
"He feels confident in himself and we've just got to get the all clear," Eade said.
"I don't think it's a pain issue; he's not going to do any more damage to it.
"We'd welcome him with open arms but the guys did well last week against a reasonable midfield from Adelaide so hopefully they can stand up again."
Hargrave is expected to be available after missing last week with a neck problem.
He participated in Tuesday's session but Barry Hall, Shaun Higgins, Daniel Cross and Ryan Griffen were all on light duties owing to the Dogs' two recent six-day breaks and the warm conditions Friday night's win over Adelaide was played in.
Eade said the Saints had the most A-grade players in the competition and would pose a big challenge, particularly in the midfield.
"That's where they're very strong and we've got a couple of players out who can play in the midfield," he said
"That brings us back a little bit but having said that the guys did well last week so we need the same output.
"They've got seven or eight really super players so even with Nick [Riewoldt] out they've still got a super talented team and we've got to prepare properly for that."
He also said the Saints, who are coming off two shortened breaks and have one less day of preparation, could surprise with their energy given how the Dogs pulled up after their dual six-day breaks.
"It depends on the games you play. We pulled up better after the second six day break than we did the first," he said.
"It depends on the intensity and physicality of the games. We pulled up alright after the Brisbane game and then it was a cumulative effect on the weekend."
Eade was pleased with the improvement his side showed against Adelaide after a few below par weeks.
