EXCITING Melbourne speedster Jayden Hunt has re-signed with the club until at least the end of 2018.
The 21-year-old, who was recruited with pick No.57 in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft, debuted against Collingwood in round four this season and will make his fifth consecutive appearance in Sunday's clash against the Western Bulldogs at the MCG.
Demons football manager Josh Mahoney said Hunt had become an important part of the Dees' future after overcoming persistent back problems in his first two seasons at the club.

"We saw glimpses in his second year, and he showed the potential that we thought he had … and we offered him a one-year contract (for 2016)," Mahoney told the club's website on Sunday.
"He has continued to improve this year and he's extremely coachable and has attributes in his game that are at AFL level.
"He's already having an impact on AFL games and we look forward to his continued development over the next two years."
Hunt collected 19 touches in the Demons' 73-point win over Gold Coast last Saturday at Metricon Stadium, showcasing his speed and willingness to take the game on from half-back.
