Tiger's ban gives Hardwick a headache as Blue, Dee also accept
Tiger's week out causes headaches as Blue, Demon take bans
RICHMOND defender Steven Morris' minor charges add up to a major headache for Tigers coach Damien Hardwick.
Morris will miss the Tigers' clash with the Brisbane Lions and their much-vaunted "mosquito fleet" after pleading guilty to two rough conduct charges from his side's win over St Kilda.
Individually, the bans weren't enough to sideline Morris but the two charges combined to give Morris 183.5 points and a week off.
It's poor timing for the Tigers, who would have pencilled Morris in for a job on one of the Lions' self-styled three amigos - Dayne Zorko, Josh Green and Lewis Taylor.
Instead Hardwick will need to redraw his defensive set-up for a match crucial in determining lower ladder places.
The biggest ban of the weekend went to Carlton utility Mitch Robinson, who will sit out two weeks after punching Taylor Adams in the Blues' loss to Collingwood.
Melbourne small defender Neville Jetta will also miss a week after accepting a rough conduct charge.
Gold Coast defender Jarrod Harbrow accepted a reprimand for striking Hawthorn's Luke Breust, leaving him free to play against Collingwood this weekend.
Meanwhile, the AFL pocketed $7500 in fines from five melee charges.
Saints youngster Jimmy Webster copped the most severe penalty. He was stung with a $1800 fine for starting the fracas and a $1200 fine for participating in it.
Webster's teammate Seb Ross was the other St Kilda player fined, while Richmond's Dustin Martin ($2100, due to it being a second offence) and Anthony Miles ($1200) also have lighter wallets this week.
