BRISBANE father-son recruit Levi Ashcroft will inherit the No.10 guernsey worn by his dad Marcus, while Sydney draftee Ned Bowman will step into a famous number at the Swans.

Levi Ashcroft, taken with pick No.5 in the Telstra AFL Draft, will follow in his father's footsteps after arriving at the Lions.

"It's very special for me and for dad, who obviously did so much in his career and for the Lions with No.10 on his back," Levi said.

"He played in three premierships and played 318 games, so a very long career in that number and hopefully I can do half as good as he did.

"I definitely always wanted to wear No.10 for a long time as I played a lot of my junior footy in No.10 off what dad did in that number.

"It's going to be really amazing to be able to wear that number out on the Gabba and other grounds around Australia."

Jaspa Fletcher has traded his No.28 for the No.3 left vacant by the retired Joe Daniher.

Will McLachlan has switched to No.28, and Luke Beecken has moved into No.17 after the retirement of Jarryd Lyons.

New arrivals Sam Day (No.14), Sam Marshall (No.20) and Ty Gallop (No.22) also received their numbers.

At the Swans, Bowman, taken with pick No.26 in last month's Telstra AFL Draft, will wear the No.23 made famous by Lance Franklin at Sydney.

Franklin kicked 486 goals across 172 games for the Swans before retiring at the end of 2023.
