JAMES Aish's horror season has finished, with the young Lion ruled out of the remaining six rounds with a finger injury.
And it could also spell the end of his time at the Gabba, with the out-of-contract South Australian yet to agree to terms for 2016.
He is believed to be fielding offers from clubs in both Victoria and his home state.
Aish managed 11 games this season, his second in the AFL, but injury and inconsistent form ensured it was a struggle.
The 19-year-old ruptured a tendon in a finger on his left hand during the loss to North Melbourne at the Gabba on Saturday night.
He had surgery on Monday night and will be in a splint for six weeks, with full recovery expected to be in excess of 12 weeks.
It is the second significant injury for Aish this year, after he suffered a broken jaw against St Kilda in round nine.
He was also dropped for poor form on two occasions by coach Justin Leppitsch.
Aish has averaged 14 disposals a game, and topped 20 touches just once - a far cry from his excellent debut season where he finished fourth behind teammate Lewy Taylor in the NAB Rising Star Award.
