THE CARLTON-West Coast clash is packed with stars capable of the spectacular: Chris Judd, Eddie Betts, Jeff Garlett, Daniel Kerr and Shannon Hurn for starters.

But none of them could match the brilliance of Nic Naitanui, who took one of the all-time great marks in the second quarter.

Naitanui leaped on the head of teammate Jack Darling to take a beautifully-timed grab in front of goal. He even cracked a smile as he got up from the mark and duly kicked truly.

As he left the ground following his successful shot, he caught a knowing glance with opponent and lifelong friend Chris Yarran, and patted him on the head as a friendly and justified gloat.
