Victoria Country and Victoria Metro have announced squads to compete in this weekend’s under-16 girls trial matches.
The trial matches will assist with selecting the final Victoria Country and Victoria Metro squads that will compete at the 2025 Marsh AFL National Development Championships - U16 Girls.
The girls Championships will run throughout April and will feature the most talented under 16 footballers from across Australia, some of who may become the next generation of AFLW stars.
The Victoria Country under-16 girls trial match will be played at Sandringham’s Trevor Barker Beach Oval on Saturday, March 22, commencing at 11:45am.
The Victoria Metro under-16 girls trial match will be played at Bundoora’s RMIT University Oval on Sunday, March 23, commencing at 10:30am.
Players who haven’t been selected to play in this week’s trial matches will still be eligible to be named in the squads that compete at this year’s Championships.
