UNTRIED St Kilda rookie Nick O'Kearney has been delisted in St Kilda's final list change ahead of the NAB AFL Draft.
O'Kearney, 20, impressed the Saints with his professionalism and finished second in Sandringham's best and fairest while playing his 18 games as a half-forward/midfielder.
However, his relatively slight frame (181cm, 72kg) made it tough for him to break into the senior side.
Coach Alan Richardson paid tribute to O'Kearney, who was picked up at No.5 in the 2015 rookie draft.
"Nick's attitude has been exemplary in his time at the Saints," Richardson said.
"He's worked incredibly hard on his game and was very consistent for Sandringham.
"Unfortunately he was unable to force his way into the midfield group at AFL level.
"Nick is a great young man and we wish him all the best for the future."
The Saints have also chopped Jason Holmes, Nick Coughlan, Joe Baker-Thomas and Lewis Pierce, although they will re-draft Pierce as a rookie.
Rowan Marshall will be retained as a rookie after signing a two-year deal in September.
St Kilda is expected to use four of its selections in the draft, which sit at No.7, 8, 34 and 45.
