FREMANTLE wingman Bradley Hill has denied a trade request is imminent, but remains coy on his playing future.

It has been reported Hill's manager Colin Young could tell the Dockers this week he wants out of the final two years of his contract to return to Melbourne.

"Like you saw in the paper and stuff, all the stuff saying I'm going to sit down with the club and have this discussion ... I had a coffee with Colin yesterday, and we're definitely not going to be catching up with the club this week and saying that I'm requesting a trade," Hill told 6PR.

"It's definitely not going to happen (this week). I caught up with Colin and asked him 'What's all this stuff in the news?' and we sat down and he said 'That's definitely not going to be happening'.

"We're not going to be talking and saying that we're requesting a trade."

St Kilda, Carlton and Hill's former club Hawthorn have been linked to the speedster, whose partner is rumoured to be keen to return to Victoria.

"She's obviously going to be a Melbourne girl at heart forever," Hill said.

"She does miss it. Obviously all her friends and her family are over there.

"But we haven't fully gone into that discussion. But she does miss home a bit, like anyone away from home misses home.

"I was in Melbourne and I ended up coming back here.

"One day we want to start a family and that, and if she wants to be with her family, then she does, and that's easy. But at the moment we're still having those discussions."

We're not going to be talking and saying that we're requesting a trade - Bradley Hill

Dockers football chief Peter Bell told AFL.com.au last month he saw Hill remaining at the club for "many, many years".

Fremantle brought the 26-year-old back to WA at the end of 2016, handing over pick 23 – a compensation selection received following Chris Mayne's move to Collingwood – and partnering him with elder brother Stephen.

But there is now also speculation over Stephen's future, with the injury-prone veteran set to become an unrestricted free agent.

Hard-running wingman Ed Langdon is also being strongly linked to a move to the Demons.

Amid off-field uncertainty, the Dockers steamrolled ladder-leaders Geelong last round to keep themselves in the finals hunt and relieved pressure on coach Ross Lyon.

"Yeah, he was (relieved). Obviously there was a little bit of pressure on the club and some noise outside, so to have a performance like that was great," Hill said.

"We definitely needed it.

"As a whole group, not yet (talking about finals), but with a few older players we have spoken about we need to take every game like it's our last.

"Because if we do win them all we can play finals and that would be an amazing thing.

"The club hasn't done it for a while."
