Early prognosis
Pies coach Nathan Buckley has declared Moore will play in the qualifying final against Geelong on Friday night, while Thomas and Scharenberg also appear set to be passed fit after suffering mishaps in the final round win over Essendon. Stephenson will return after serving his 10-game gambling suspension and Sidebottom, De Goey and Aish are also expected to be available. Sier copped a knock in the Pies' final VFL game for the season while the unlucky Murphy sustained another injury – nerve damage to his neck. It's also unlikely we'll see Quaynor again this season, while Reid also faces an uphill battle. The campaign is already over for Cox, Langdon, Beams and Dunn. - Ben Collins

Early prognosis
All eyes are on Hurley, who looks more likely than not to face the Eagles in Thursday's elimination final despite his shoulder injury from round 23 against Collingwood. Hooker, Heppell, Fantasia and Stringer will all make the trip and play against West Coast in the do-or-die final, but Zaharakis is unavailable. Gleeson will miss this week with a minor calf injury but could be available next week if the Bombers progress. - Callum Twomey

Early prognosis
Clark copped a knock to his previously injured elbow in his VFL return last week. While he's not in contention for this week, the Cats are refusing to put a line through his season. Clark barely raised a sweat at training on Tuesday as Atkins and Kolodjashnij both put their injury concerns behind them. Fogarty hurt his ankle in the VFL last week and was in a moon boot on Tuesday. - Mitch Cleary

Noah Balta missed the weekend's VFL match with a cork but is now available for selection. Stack is running on the weight-bearing Alter G treadmill, but a timeframe is yet to be set for his return. - Sarah Black

Early prognosis
The Eagles are sweating on skipper Hurn's availability but they expect he will take his place against the Bombers on Thursday night, 12 days after playing through hamstring awareness in the loss to the Hawks. Hurn appeared unconcerned during Monday night's warm-up which was open to media and got through training. Naitanui looks primed for his first final in four years after overcoming his two-month syndesmosis issue, while tagger Mark Hutchings is available following his hamstring recurrence in round 22. – Travis King

Early prognosis
Dickson's sore hamstring has been given an extra week to recover thanks to the bye, and should he be fit he'll almost certainly come straight back in. Daniel (hamstring) and Liberatore (knee) are inching closer but both are unlikely to be ready for the Giants. - Josh Schonafinger
