CARLTON has made the first significant changes to its list ahead of what looms as an important off-season for the club, delisting five players on Thursday.
Experienced ruckman Matthew Lobbe and forward Jarrod Garlett lead the list of players to depart the club, with youngsters Pat Kerr, Angus Schumacher and Kym LeBois also delisted.
Lobbe crossed from Port Adelaide, but played just eight games for Carlton, while Garlett also failed to hold down a consistent spot in the team after arriving via Gold Coast.

Developing key forward Kerr played four games last year, but couldn't crack the senior side in 2019, while Schumacher departs after making just one senior appearance late this year.
LeBois did not manage to make his Carlton debut after three years on the rookie list.
The announcement means Carlton has just five players still uncontracted ahead of season 2020, though the club is expected to announce a number of re-signings imminently.

Veteran defender Kade Simpson has agreed to a one-year deal, while the Blues are also expected to hand a rookie extension to mid-season draftee Josh Deluca.
Versatile tall Levi Casboult is weighing up whether he exercises a one-year trigger in his contract, having enjoyed his best spell of form with the Blues this season, while ruckman Andrew Phillips is also considering the offer of a one-year deal from the club.
Speedy wingman Matt Cottrell is another with a chance of earning a new contract with the Blues, having impressed in the VFL after joining the club on the eve of the 2019 season.
