PREMIERSHIP wingman Chris Masten hopes to continue his career at another club after confirmation his time at West Coast is up.
Meanwhile, AFL.com.au understands fellow uncontracted veteran Will Schofield is set to be offered a one-year deal for 2020 but is weighing his options.
In emotional scenes, Masten was consoled by teammates after the final siren sounded in the Eagles' season-ending semi-final loss to Geelong at the MCG last Friday night.
Gold Coast's reported interested in Masten is understood to have cooled, although St Kilda and Hawthorn have also shown interest and he isn't giving up on adding to his 215 games.
"I have had a wonderful time at the Eagles, the club I supported as a kid," Masten said.
"It was a dream to play for them and to play in a premiership last year was the ultimate for me.
"Over the last 12 or 13 years I have enjoyed every minute of it and have made some life-long friends.
I will certainly miss the boys, we have a really special bond, but it is time to have a look at other options. - Chris Masten
Masten was drafted in 2007 via pick three – which was part of the blockbuster trade which sent Chris Judd to Carlton.
He cemented himself as a regular in 2012, playing 24 games and booting 20 goals.
However, Masten's career appeared at the crossroads at the end of 2017 after he managed just 13 appearances and his name was raised in trade speculation.
But he remained at the Eagles and was rejuvenated playing a selfless wing role to suit the wide expanses of Optus Stadium, before being rewarded with a premiership medallion.
"Chris has been a terrific player for us for a long time and a very popular teammate who has always adopted a team-first approach," general manager of football Craig Vozzo said.
"People other than those in the inner sanctum might not understand the important role Chris has played for us in the last few years, but he was very important to our success.
"Having said that, it is the appropriate time for Chris to explore opportunities elsewhere and we wish him, Emmi and family every success for their future endeavours."
In and out of the side in 2019, Schofield returned for the Eagles' elimination final and strengthened a backline which had looked shaky in losses to Hawthorn and Richmond to end the regular season.
The 30-year-old is 10 appearances shy of reaching the 200-game milestone but is facing increased competition from the likes of Josh Rotham.

Several other Eagles remain out of contract, including ex-Port Adelaide onballer Brendon Ah Chee and forgotten four-gamer Kurt Mutimer, who hasn't played for the past two years.
Yet-to-debut midfielder Matthew Allen is assessing his options while Hamish Brayshaw is also yet to re-sign despite a strong finish to the WAFL season.
