A SECOND-HALF flood of inside-50s to match the weather has propelled Port Adelaide to an important win over Gold Coast at Adelaide Oval.
The Power trailed by four points at half-time but booted seven goals to one to storm home to a comfortable victory – 13.11 (89) to 7.9 (51).
A crowd of 26,129 people who braved constant rain walked away happy, with the Power (5-4) returning to the top eight after back-to-back losses against Collingwood and Adelaide.

Billy Frampton – one of four inclusions from last weekend's Showdown 46 defeat to the Crows – justified his selection, with the 22-year-old providing a key target in attack with three goals in his second career game and first for the season.

Midfielder Brayden Fiorini had a big day for the Suns with 38 touches, Darcy MacPherson worked hard with 20 disposals and 12 tackles, while defenders Charlie Ballard and Jack Hombsch battled gamely in the face of plenty of attacking raids.

It was a tough initiation to the AFL for the Suns' prized recruit Ben King, the conditions not favouring the 202cm forward who was the sixth overall pick in last year's national draft.
He managed just one kick and four handballs.
It was the Power's 10th consecutive victory against the Suns in a streak stretching back to round five, 2011.

After stringing together three straight wins from rounds two to four, the Suns (3-6) have now lost their past five games and will be ruing another missed opportunity after they had the early ascendency.
Their forward pressure was excellent and they made the Power pay for sloppy turnovers in their defensive half.
Clever forward Ben Ainsworth slotted a 45m set shot after the half-time siren to give the Suns a four-point lead at the main break.

Light showers in the first half turned into a heavy downpour, putting a premium on clean hands and the territory battle.
The Power turned up the heat, locking the ball in their forward half with 22 inside 50s to just four for the Suns in the third term.
Frampton converted early, but it took until late in the quarter when Steven Motlop and Rozee kicked goals in quick succession that the Power converted their dominance on to the scoreboard.

The visitors were in the contest at three-quarter time, trailing by 13 points, but a goal to Kane Farrell gave the Power a handy buffer before Rozee sealed the victory with a brilliant finish.
Power midfielder Tom Rockliff might have a case to answer after he was reported for tripping Suns onballer Anthony Miles.
