GREATER Western Sydney defender Adam Kennedy was taken to hospital after falling ill during the NEAFL on Saturday but is recovering at home after getting a precautionary check-up.
Kennedy, who was dropped for the club's clash with Collingwood this week, had 18 possessions in the first half of the reserves at Giants Stadium, but reported to medical staff that he was feeling unwell at the main break.
GWS doctors found that Kennedy had an elevated heart rate.

The 27-year-old's heart rate settled, but he was still sent to hospital to get a thorough examination.
Giants coach Leon Cameron said the club will know more about Kennedy's health over the next couple of days.
"It's something we're not going to take lightly," he said.
"We've got to see where it came from and how it happened.
"He's a popular member of our footy club but his Mum and Dad were here to be with him so that was pleasing.
"We're confident he's going to be right, but we'll wait and see early in the week."
Kennedy has played 108 games for the Giants and had played all 16 games this season before losing his spot in the side this week.
