A ‘NORMAL’ round of footy greets us with no fixtures prior to the Friday night lockout, meaning we’ve got nine game in three days again! Now, it is all about getting your trades set and your skipper selected rather than worrying about loopholes and too much trade regret.
Lachie Whitfield is the biggest name on the list of outs as he misses round seven with the corked thigh that hampered his game last week against the Swans. The gun Fantasy DEF/MID was restricted to just 39 points which has seen his breakeven shoot to 173.
Whitfield owners are faced with a big call to either hold him through his injury, which is likely to be just one week, or move him on and hope to get him back later for a bit cheaper.
Port Adelaide will be without Robbie Gray (hand) for the next month.
The Blues will be without defensive duo Kade Simpson (hamstring) and Nic Newman (hamstring) for three weeks, while ruckman Matthew Kreuzer (adductor) will also miss this week’s clash against North Melbourne. Will Setterfield comes back into the Blues’ squad after his two-week suspension.
Popular cash cows Jack Scrimshaw (managed) and Charlie Constable (omitted) won’t be suiting up for their respective teams which will hurt the Fantasy Classic coaches fielding them.
If you’re looking for a bench player, Isaac Cumming (DEF, $204,000) is an option after being named on the wing for the Giants. The 20-year-old is averaging 80 points in the NEAFL so far this season.

Taylor Adams (MID, $654,000)
After an interrupted start to the season, the Pies' hard-working mid is ripe for the picking. Coming off an impressive 120, he has a great history against the Power and the cherry on top is he has only one per cent ownership.
Noah Answorth (DEF/MID, $198,000)
The young Lion exceeded expectation on debut with an impressive performance which included seven marks and five tackles for a score of 75. He looks to be a prime cash cow target with a breakeven of negative seven.
Toby Greene (FWD, $589,000)
He is the high risk, high reward upgrade option for the cash-starved coaches out there. He returned last weekend to clock up his second game of the year and managed to kick three goals and score a nice 103. The Giants have the easiest draw from a Fantasy perspective leading up to the bye and as long as he can stay on the park, he will outscore his price tag.

Get them out
Devon Smith (FWD/MID, $648,000)
Hasn’t been the dominant player we saw last year, largely due to being held back by a knee complaint. He is averaging just 80 points and is carrying a breakeven of 148. He will be a bargain to keep an eye on later in the year.
Robbie Gray (FWD, $523,000)
Hasn’t been in good form and is now set for an extended time on the sidelines. He has dropped $89,000 since the start of the season and should be upgraded to a premium like his teammate Travis Boak.
Dayne Zorko (MID, $640,000)
Seemingly under-priced at the start of the year, many coaches jumped on the value of Zorko given he has the ability to average 110+. Unfortunately, he has performed under expectations, averaging just 88 and should be upgraded.
Calvin’s Captains
No. 1 – Andrew Gaff v Gold Coast
You know we love a captain playing the Suns, who are giving up the most Fantasy points this year and when you also add in the fact Andrew Gaff is at home, it’s a recipe for mega points. Gaff scored 122 on them last year and will be nasty for those who are lucky owners.
No. 2 – Patrick Dangerfield v Essendon
Despite his poor record against the Bombers, the fact he has scored over 130 three times this year seals the deal. He has averaged 110 in his last 11 at the MCG and looks safe for another great score.
No. 3 – Jack Macrae v Richmond
Remember last year when Macrae scored 190 on the Tigers in round 23? We’ll, that mightn’t happen again, but he is playing at Marvel Stadium where he has gone 100+ in his last 14 games. Bounce back week for Jack.
No. 4 – Adam Treloar v Port Adelaide
Just like Macrae, Treloar loves playing under the Marvel roof where he has averaged 111 in his last eight, with only a lowest score of 93 during that time.
No. 5 – Josh Kelly v St Kilda
Kelly has averaged 113 this year and scored 126 and 111 against the Saints in his past two games. Fresh off a newly signed contact, Kelly is rolling nicely.
