BRISBANE will have a new headquarters by 2021 with the Federal Government committing the final $15 million for the Lions' new Springfield home on Wednesday.
The $70 million project Brisbane is calling 'The Reserve' will be based 30km south-west of the Gabba and include a boutique 10,000-seat stadium.
Not only will the facility be a state-of-the-art training and administration base for the entire club but it will be home to matches for the Lions' AFLW and NEAFL teams.

The men's team is still committed to playing at the Gabba.
Brisbane is hopeful the project will be completed by 2021.
"This announcement from the Federal Government means we can now start working directly with all levels of government to take the project forward," Brisbane chairman Andrew Wellington said.
"We are committed to ensuring … it will not just be a fantastic asset for our club and players but will be an asset for the community."

The Lions' new base will be able to host AFLW and NEAFL matches. 
The Federal Government's commitment, which will be matched by the Queensland Government, ends the funding battle for a project that Brisbane has wrestled with for most of this decade.
The Lions also investigated potential sites near the Brisbane Airport and in Brisbane's north and south in recent years before settling on Springfield.
Brisbane also has financial support from the Ipswich City Council, the AFL and Springfield Land Corporation.

The new base is a huge victory for the Lions and particularly for the club's AFLW team, which now has a home.
In the first two seasons Brisbane's women's team has played home matches at Brendale and Burpengary, in Brisbane's north.
Neither venue has lighting good enough for television broadcasting, meaning all games have been scheduled during the heat of Brisbane's summer.
Lions' women's CEO Bree Brock was ecstatic with the announcement.
"We just won the Lotto really, haven’t we?" She said.
"This has been a long project.
"To have all levels of government come together and put them all together is amazing for what it’s going to do for women’s football in Queensland.
"It’s just going to change the game for us, we couldn’t be happier.
"It’s a dream come true really."
