EDDIE Betts is among a number of Adelaide players unhappy at the club's recent failings but isn't on the trade table, Crows chief executive Andrew Fagan says.

Betts is contracted at Adelaide for next season but rival clubs including Gold Coast and his ex-club Carlton are understood to be circling the 32-year-old.

"We certainly haven't put him on the trade table so unless something changes, there's not really anything more I can add," Fagan told SEN radio on Thursday.

Fagan said Betts' football enjoyment had waned as the Crows missed the finals in consecutive years after being losing 2017 Grand Finalists.

"I don't think he has probably enjoyed the last couple of years ... as much as he would like to, and he's not alone in that," Fagan said.

"I think if you spoke to the majority of our playing group, they would say the last couple of years wasn't as exciting as 2016 or 2017 when we were more successful.

"So I think that he shares in that. He loves football. He plays best when he's happy.

"And it probably hasn't been in exactly the place he wants to be in the last couple of years, but he's not alone in that."

The Crows are undertaking two searching reviews with an external four-member panel including AFL greats Jason Dunstall and Matthew Pavlich investigating all aspects of the club.

A separate in-house review from the club's football department was also taking place.

Fagan hoped the review results would put Adelaide, and Betts, back on the path to success.

"I love Eddie, we're there to support him, we know the fans love him," he said.

"He's a tremendously loved member of this football club.

"And as part of this (review) process we want to make sure we have got an environment and a platform from which we can all look forward with excitement and positivity towards 2020, including for Eddie."
