RICHMOND captain Trent Cotchin will be given until the last minute to declare his fitness, but is expected to face Fremantle on Sunday afternoon at the MCG, a week after hurting his left knee.
Cotchin, 28, was injured in the dying minutes of the 43-point win against Collingwood in round six while trying to stop Tom Phillips from kicking a goal, an incident which saw the star onballer collide with a goal post.
Tigers coach Damien Hardwick told reporters on Friday the skipper was likely to front up against the Dockers.

"He'll train today and we'll make a call after training. Today's our main session so we'll give him every opportunity," Hardwick said.
"He's probable at this stage but once again, the training will give us a fair indication of where he's at.
"We'll obviously give him as much time as possible – he's a pretty good player, so we'll make a call in due course."
The 2012 Brownlow medallist sported strapping on the sore joint, but appeared to be moving freely while the club completed its warm-up.
Richmond will head into its third match in 13 days on Sunday, and while Cotchin has not trained a lot leading up to the Fremantle clash, his teammates have also been taking it easy.
"We've had a pretty light week though this week. He's (Cotchin's) been doing some bits and pieces around, but so have probably the majority of our side because we've had the two games in a relatively short period. Although we had a longer week, the guys deserved the freshen-up," Hardwick said.
Exciting small forward Daniel Rioli hit the track for the warm-up in his return from a left foot injury he has had operated on twice since last year's Grand Final.
Rioli has been joining in with the main group for various drills over the past fortnight, but no timeline has been set for his return.
Fremantle has employed rookie Bailey Banfield as a tagger this season, and Hardwick expects that to happen again.
"We've probably got a number of players they can go to, whether it's Dustin (Martin), Cotchin, Dion (Prestia's) been in really good form as well," Hardwick said.
"They've had some success with that.
"Our guys are probably more inside, so whether they go with the inside players or the outside, we're not too sure. They've probably had varying success with that as well."
