Brandon Ellis' sequence of 111 consecutive games for the Tigers, stretching back to round 12, 2013, is over.
Jacob Townsend and Sam Lloyd have also been omitted after the five-day break, but Jack Higgins keeps his spot. Premiership heroes Nick Vlastuin, Josh Caddy and Jack Graham all return.

Geelong confirmed on Friday night that Scott Selwood had withdrawn from the Cats' team to face Sydney due to concussion and would be replaced by Jackson Thurlow. Zac Smith has been added as an emergency.
