COLLINGWOOD has secured father-son prospect Will Kelly, forced to match a bid from Adelaide for the defender in Friday's NAB AFL Draft second round.
After passing on older brother Jake, now a Crows defender, in the 2014 rookie draft, the Pies had no hesitation in matching the Crows' bid at pick 29.

It sees the Pies part with picks 53, 54 and 64 to reach the required points for Kelly's services, while receiving picks 63 and 99 in return.
The son of premiership Pie Craig, Will was one of three Oakleigh Chargers players drafted to the club, along with Isaac Quaynor (pick 13) and Atu Bosenavulagi (pick 77).
Kelly improved by the week during 2018, impressing in defence in the TAC Cup before missing the end of the year with an ankle fracture that will delay his pre-season.

Known as an enforcer during his playing days, Craig was rapt to see the Kelly name continue at the Holden Centre.
"Because it's Collingwood, the relationship with a lot of people down there, it's pretty special," Craig said.
"He's (Will) better by a mile.
"He can run, he can mark, he can kick and he doesn't pinch and carry on like an idiot so he's well ahead of me."
Will joins Josh Daicos (son of Peter) and brothers Callum and Tyler (sons of Gavin) as one of four father-son talents at the Pies.

Craig Kelly, Peter Daicos and Gavin Brown were premiership teammates in the Pies' 1990 triumph.
Standing 194cm, he is set to bolster a Pies defence that will be missing Matt Scharenberg and Lynden Dunn early in 2018 following knee reconstructions.

It comes after the Pies were forced to match Greater Western Sydney's bid at pick 13 to land Next Generation Academy defender Isaac Quaynor in Thursday night's first round.
Eligible to the Pies thanks to his father's Ghanaian heritage, Quaynor was named an under-18 All Australian after his eye-catching run from half-back for Vic Metro.
Rated for his decision-making, the 180cm speedster is capable of playing on small or medium opponents.
Prior to landing Bosenavulagi, the Pies completed a move with Hawthorn, passing on pick 63 and a future fifth-round selection in return for a 2019 fourth-round pick.
