HAWTHORN is likely to be bolstered for Sunday's clash with ladder-leading West Coast by the return from injury of James Frawley and Jaeger O'Meara.
Key defender Frawley didn't play against Brisbane on the weekend because of a shoulder injury, while midfielder O'Meara missed the 56-point drubbing from the Lions because of a corked calf.
RISING STAR Who's in the running so far this season?
Hawks high performance manager Andrew Russell told hawthornfc.com.au that he expected both players to be available for the clash at Etihad Stadium.
Of Frawley, he said, "It has settled down well and with another six days we expect him to play.
O'Meara could only train at 70 per cent capacity last week, but that has ramped up since then.
"We think it's a one-week injury and we expect him to play," he said.
Further good news for the Hawks is that star small forward Cyril Rioli is back doing high-intensity running and will resume ball work later this week. He hasn't played since straining a medial ligament against Melbourne in round four.
The Hawks have said all along he will return after the bye, while veteran half-back Grant Birchall is also due back around then after various knee ailments that have prevented him from playing at all this year.
