RICHMOND onballer Anthony Miles and Williamstown midfielder Michael Gibbons have shared the JJ Liston Trophy as the best and fairest players in the VFL.
Miles, 26, shot out to an early lead with 16 votes from the first eight games before being hauled in by Gibbons, with both finishing on 19.
The AFL-listed Tiger went at 30 disposals and 14 contested possessions per match.
Having played just six games for the senior side in the past two seasons, he has met with Gold Coast and could be on the move in the upcoming NAB AFL Trade Period.
Gibbons, 23, also took the award home in 2016.
He averaged 28 disposals, seven clearances and 6.5 inside-50s per game.
Sharing third place were Werribee defender Sam Collins and Collingwood midfielder Alex Woodward, each on 16 votes.
Collins, a former Docker, seems destined to be picked up at season's end after an excellent campaign.
Woodward was previously on Hawthorn's list and extraordinarily, racked up his votes in just eight matches after returning from his fourth knee reconstruction.
The Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal for the best under-24 player went to Werribee forward Josh Corbett.
It's proved a good omen, with the past 12 winners having gone on to play AFL.
Corbett booted 22 goals from nine games before an eye injury ended his season, and would likely be a third tall at the elite level.
