STAR Adelaide forward Tom Lynch will have scans after suffering a side strain against Greater Western Sydney on Sunday night.
Lynch winced in pain after copping Callan Ward's boot to the abdomen in a tackle attempt in the second term.
He came from the field, but returned in the third quarter briefly before being ruled out for the remainder of the match.

"It's too early to say. Obviously he couldn't come back onto the ground, which suggests it's of some seriousness," coach Don Pyke said post-match.
"Will have to get that scanned to see how Tom recovers and gets going."

Richard Douglas copped a poke in the eye late, but is expected to be fine for next week's trip to Perth to face Fremantle.
The Crows will be without captain Taylor Walker (glute/back) and Rory Sloane (foot) for at least the next fortnight, while Brad Crouch will undergo groin surgery next week and could miss the season.
