HE'S WON a premiership, a Brownlow Medal and survived the jungle, but former AFL champion Dane Swan can now add meat pie expert to his list of accomplishments.
The former Collingwood star took centre stage at an American NBA game, giving ESPN sports business reporter Darren Rovell a crash course in correctly eating a Four 'N' Twenty pie.
Rovell lit up social media late last year when he posted a video using a knife and fork to dive into a meat pie.
The @sixers, inspired by Australian star Ben Simmons, are now selling Meat Pies at their games. I put them to the taste test this morning. pic.twitter.com/vgtSDaeLcv

But he redeemed himself when following Swan's instructions – using his hands and loading up a generous serving of tomato sauce - during a break in play at the game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Chicago Bulls at Wells Fargo Centre on Thursday morning (Australian time).
After my eating of a @FOURNTWENTY pie with a fork caused an international incident, the company had @AFL star @swandane fly to Australian Heritage Night at the @sixers game & teach me how to eat it like a real Australian. pic.twitter.com/SIKq0yb0J7

Swan – who finished runner-up in Channel 10's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here last year - was part of a Four 'N' Twenty promotion during Australian Heritage Night, in honour of the Philadelphia's Australian star, Ben Simmons.
The 21-year-old rookie sensation had a big game, racking up 19 points, 17 rebounds and 14 assists in the 76ers' 115-101 victory.
