TEENAGERS Emily McGuire and Sophie Conway are the NAB AFL Women's Rising Star nominees for round three.

Fremantle's McGuire, the No.33 pick in last year's NAB AFLW Draft, made her debut against Melbourne on Sunday, providing a focal point up the ground.

The 19-year-old kick-started the Dockers in the second quarter with their first major, before snapping the match-winning goal from the pocket in the final term.

"It's surreal, I can't believe it. I don't think I've ever been in the paper before," McGuire told fremantlefc.com.au after seeing herself on the back page of Monday's West Australian newspaper.

"My main focus was to help get the win with the girls," she said.

"There's a lot of pressure I put on myself but I just wanted to challenge myself.

"Coming into the game, I noticed instantly that it's very fast [and] nothing I'm used to, but once I got my first touch … I think I was all right.

"I'm still on a bit of a high from the game."

Conway, also 19, came to life in the final quarter against Carlton on Saturday.

Selected 45th in last year's draft, she kicked the final two goals of the game to assure a Lions victory.  

Players qualify for the Rising Star if they were 21 years old or younger on January 1, 2018, and have not previously been nominated.
