GUN ST Kilda defender Jimmy Webster will face Port Adelaide on Saturday at Adelaide Oval after recovering from his groin injury.

In further good news for the club, fellow backman Dylan Roberton ran for the first time on Tuesday as he plans his return from the heart issue that has ruled him out for 2018.

Webster was hurt in the Saints' win over Gold Coast before their bye and missed last Sunday's two-point win over Melbourne but will be included in what is set to be a tough contest against the Power.

"Jimmy Webster, coming back from his adductor, will be available for selection, so he'll play a full game," St Kilda head physiotherapist Andrew Wallis told saints.com.au

Roberton, 27, collapsed during the round four clash with Geelong after experiencing an irregular heartbeat.

"Dyl, in some good news, is now running well, as well as riding the bike. He's getting a bit of sweat up and getting some fitness back, so we'll just update you as further tests come to light," Wallis said.

Talented midfielder Blake Acres will be back this weekend through the VFL after a groin issue.

"He'll be on restricted minutes, so he'll play not at the senior level," Wallis said.

Meanwhile, Darren Minchington has hurt his right hip flexor and will miss a fortnight, about the same amount of time forward Josh Battle will be sidelined for with an orbital fracture in his right eye.
