STAR Greater Western Sydney forward Toby Greene could spend another fortnight on the sidelines as he battles a foot injury while teammate Jeremy Cameron is expected back next week.
There had been no timeline on Greene's absence.
He has played just three games this year after also struggling with a hamstring injury, and had been spotted wearing a moon boot and using crutches after developing a hot spot in a foot.
However, Giants football manager Wayne Campbell told Melbourne radio station SEN on Friday the prognosis was reasonably positive.
"Better news over the last 24 hours. It's hard to pinpoint what's actually going on (with Greene)," Campbell said.
"It might've been longer on the sidelines, but it looks like it will only be a week or two."
Meanwhile, Cameron has been struggling with a toe injury for weeks despite having played the first six games of the season and booting 17 goals to sit fourth in the Coleman Medal race heading into round seven.
He should be back for GWS' clash with West Coast on Saturday week at Spotless Stadium.
"We're pretty confident (Cameron) will play next week," Campbell said.
"It just got to the stage where he wasn't training enough during the week so we thought we'd give him the weekend off, but right now we're really confident he'll play next week."
