PORT Adelaide defender Trent McKenzie's hopes of reclaiming his place in the Power's senior team have taken a hit, with a quad injury ruling him out for at least a month.
McKenzie sustained the injury in Port Adelaide's 79-point loss to North Adelaide in the SANFL last Saturday.
The Power expect him to be available for selection in four to five weeks.
The 26-year-old joined the Power as a delisted free agent at the end of last season after playing 106 games for Gold Coast.
McKenzie has had limited opportunities at the Power, with the round four loss to Essendon his only appearance at senior level this year.
