CARLTON will head to the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night, with the club to challenge youngster Charlie Curnow's one-match ban for striking Gold Coast defender Steven May.
Curnow struck May during a spiteful clash at Metricon Stadium after the Suns co-captain had disposed of the footy, catching him with a stray forearm to the jaw.
The incident was graded by Match Review Officer Michael Christian as intentional conduct, with low impact to the head and subsequently worthy of a one-game suspension.

"It’s what we've done throughout the year – and it's pretty conclusive in the guidelines – that when you strike with a raised forearm or elbow, it's usually intentional," Christian said.
The Blues will host the Giants at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
All other players accepted their sanctions, with May banned for one-match for rough conduct on Ed Curnow and Kyle Cheney suspended for one game for intentionally bumping Bayley Fritsch in an off-the-ball incident during Adelaide's loss to Melbourne.
Mitch Robinson ($3000), Steven Motlop ($3000), Willie Rioli ($2000) and Tom Rockliff ($1500) all accepted fines for incidents that occurred over the weekend.
