ADELAIDE will assess skipper Taylor Walker and ruckman Sam Jacobs ahead of next Friday night's clash with the Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval.
Both picked up injuries in the Crows' heart-breaking five-point loss to Port Adelaide in Saturday night's Showdown 44.
EPIC FINISH: Full match coverage
Walker had a tight glute and Jacobs had a back spasm, however both were able to play out the game.
"He (Walker) had a tightness in his glute, he wasn't as free as he would've liked to have been," Crows coach Don Pyke said.
"(Jacobs) had a back spasm, so it was one of those unfortunate ones where he jammed that up a little bit and spent a bit of time in the first quarter trying to free that up.
"We got him going in the second and he was able to play out the match.
"We had to manage him tonight.
"Hopefully he pulls up well and he's ready to go (next week)."
FIVE TALKING POINTS: Gray grabs Showdown by the scruff of the neck
It was Walker's first game back from a hamstring injury.
He had just six disposals, but booted two goals, including a huge goal from 55m out late in the game to give the Crows a chance of a comeback victory.
However, Power forward Steven Motlop kicked the match-winning goal with 21 seconds on the clock to end the Crows' run of five straight victories over their cross-town rivals.
"It hurts losing four points," Pyke said.
"The record's the record.
"We had a game we came here tonight to win, and we'll walk away without a win, and a lot of effort goes into it, and it's probably made slightly more disappointing when you hit the front close to home, but that's footy, that's sport, that happens.
"The bounce of the ball, moments become games and that's what happened."
The Crows flew out of the blocks and were over-run in the third and fourth quarters before staging a late fightback.

"I'm not a believer in honourable losses," Pyke said.
"This industry is about winning and that's what we're here to try and create.
"Tonight, we didn’t we didn't get it done, we'll take away some positives, some things we did really well, but the reality is that disappointing period, it was the end of the third and the start of the last, is the area where we lost our way, they kicked nearly seven goals in 20 minutes of footy."
The Crows (5-3) hope to regain key defender Kyle Hartigan from a hamstring injury for their round nine clash with the Bulldogs, while forward Riley Knight (hamstring) will also be assessed.
