WESTERN Bulldogs captain Katie Brennan is close to a certainty to be picked ahead of her side's must-win NAB AFL Women’s competition clash with Melbourne at Whitten Oval on Saturday night.
Brennan damaged ligaments in her right ankle in the dying minutes of the Bulldogs' round-three loss to Adelaide and has not played since.
She will need to get through one final medical test on Thursday before teams are named but is expected to pass comfortably.
The forward has kicked five goals in her three matches this season.
It's a huge boost for the Bulldogs, with the winner of Saturday night's match guaranteed a spot in the Grand Final.
