WEST Coast has added an extra season to Liam Ryan and Oscar Allen's initial two-year draft contracts, securing two more important parts of its evolving forward-line puzzle. 

Ryan, 21, made an immediate impression at the Eagles before going down with a three-month ankle injury in round three.

The Subiaco product booted seven goals after making his debut in round one, with his high-leaping and flair at ground level adding some necessary X-factor to the Eagles' attack.

He was snared with pick 26 in last year's NAB AFL Draft, after Allen slipped to West Coast's second selection at No.21.

"(Ryan's) a player that we really targeted in last year’s draft and hopefully he plays a lot of football for us," list manager Brady Rawlings said.

"The excitement he brings is one thing, but we’ve been really pleased with his defensive pressure and his ability to run a game out.

"The speed that he brings to the game we’ve seen in the past for Subiaco, but he’s taken that to a new level and he’s able to repeat it more now that he’s got a better fitness base.

"He’s going to be a bit of a crowd favourite with his ability to sit on a few heads and kick some freakish goals."

Allen arrived at the club with a tibia stress fracture but has been lauded for his appetite for hard work during rehabilitation, and made his comeback in East Perth's victory over Perth last Saturday.

The 191cm tall won the Larke Medal as the best player in the NAB Under 18s Championships last year after kicking 11 majors in WA's four games, but has also been touted as a big-bodied midfielder.

"It’s been a pretty hard pre-season for me being in rehab for most of it, but the club has been incredibly supportive and they’ve always had my back," Allen said.

"I thought that’s the kind of culture (I admire) and I’d love to stay with a football club that supported players like that."

Ryan and Allen's new deals continue a signing frenzy by the Eagles.

Forwards Willie Rioli, Jamie Cripps and Jake Waterman have recently recommitted, along with Liam Duggan, Jack Redden and Nathan Vardy.

However, prospective restricted free agents Jeremy McGovern, Andrew Gaff and Scott Lycett remain unsigned beyond 2018.
