DALE Morris and Marcus Adams have got through their second football match for the season unscathed, playing in Footscray's 32-point loss to Collingwood in the VFL.
The defensive duo has had an injury-interrupted year, with Morris suffering a partial ACL tear in February and Adams undergoing surgery for a syndesmosis injury to his ankle just before round one.
Adams played the first half of the VFL match up forward and despite the Dogs' early dominance, struggled to have an impact.
He looked much more comfortable when moved to full-back in the second half, taking several intercept marks and coming off his man to spoil with confidence.
Morris, playing with strapping on his knee, was a fan favourite, moving well and directing traffic.
Mitch Wallis (27 disposals), who was dropped from the senior team and is out of contract, was very busy in the opening half.
Playing predominantly in the middle, with spells in the forward line, he had sharp hands around the stoppages, but his influence waned as the match progressed and Collingwood got on top.
Lewis Young (25 touches) had some shining moments in defence but sometimes struggled with his disposal efficiency, while Lukas Webb (26) and Josh Dunkley (18), who both played around the ball, also impressed.
