SHAUN Higgins is officially the AFL's most roughed-up player.
The star North Melbourne midfielder has now been the victim in six match review charges this season, the most of any footballer in the competition.
Higgins was twice struck by Gold Coast players in off-the-ball incidents on Sunday, leading to fines for Suns co-captain Steven May and midfielder Alex Sexton.
DOUBLE TROUBLE Suns pair fined for Higgins whacks
He had previously been involved in incidents leading to Jarrad McVeigh and Bailey Banfield being fined for misconduct, as well as Brennan Cox and Mitch Robinson for rough conduct.
He was also concussed in a collision with Hawthorn's Ryan Burton after the Hawk chose to bump the star Roo while he was in possession. Burton was cleared of any wrongdoing.
Hoping for the best for Shaun Higgins and Ed Vickers-Willis.

Sunday's pair of charges means that rival players have now been fined a total of $10,500 this year alone for incidents in which Higgins has been the victim.
Higgins himself has been fined twice by Match Review Officer Michael Christian this season.
He was fined $1500 for misconduct in round seven in an incident involving McVeigh and $2000 for a misconduct charge involving Josh Dunkley in round 14.
Brisbane captain Dayne Zorko is second to Higgins in terms of suffering blows worthy of match review punishment, targeted four times by opposition players this season.
Richmond's Jack Graham was handed a one-match ban for striking Zorko in round four, while three other players have been fined $6500 for incidents involving the Lions skipper.
Adelaide midfielder Matt Crouch, Hawthorn stopper Dan Howe and Geelong captain Joel Selwood have all been the victim in match review charges on three occasions each.
