PREMIERSHIP trio Nathan Broad, Jack Graham and Dan Butler are set to miss up to a month of football as Richmond counts the cost of its Friday night win over Adelaide.

Broad appears to be the most serious of the three, having undergone surgery on his cheekbone on Saturday. 

It is believed the 25-year-old Tiger needed three plates inserted in his face after suffering a depressed fracture in the 47-point win over the Crows.

He is expecting to miss between 3-4 weeks.

He went off early in the fourth quarter and was unable to open his eye after an accidental collision with young Crow Tom Doedee.  

"He's a bit sore and swollen at the moment," Richmond's physical performance manager Peter Burge told the club's website.  

"It's a short-to-medium term injury, and he'll [be back] hopefully sooner rather than later, but we have to wait until the swelling to die down and for him to feel comfortable so that if he does cop another knock to his head at any stage, it's not going to re-injure it."

Meanwhile, Graham has escaped surgery on the shoulder he dislocated in the third quarter when he slipped off an attempted tackle on Myles Poholke.

However, the big-bodied midfielder is also expected to miss up to a month despite medical staff being able to reset the shoulder in the rooms after the incident.

Scans over the weekend showed some damage consistent with the injury.

While the Tigers won't put a specific timeframe on his return, the outside mark for him to recommence running is early next week.

Butler reaggravated an ankle injury in a first-quarter marking contest and played out the game under duress after the Tigers lost Graham and Broad in the second half.  

Burge said he would miss "a period of time now" and would spend at least this week in a moon boot.

The Tigers are set to regain Bachar Houli (groin) and Nick Vlastuin (suspension) for Saturday night's clash with Greater Western Sydney at Spotless Stadium.

Houli hasn't played since round 11 but is set to ramp up his training this week in a bid to face the Giants.

Burge said he was a "very good chance" to return on Saturday night with the final decision to be made on Thursday depending on how he trained this week.

Defender Ryan Garthwaite is rated a "questionable" chance to be available this week after suffering a minor ankle injury in the VFL, while ruckman Ivan Soldo and fringe midfielder Anthony Miles will be tested after missing on the weekend with concussion.
