MELBOURNE will host fans at live sites at Federation Square and the City of Casey for Saturday's preliminary final against West Coast in Perth.
The Demons are urging those fans not making the trip to Western Australia to come to Federation Square where the pre-game and full game will be shown, complete with Channel Seven commentary, on the big screen.
There will be food and beverage outlets onsite, as well as other facilities including toilets.
Meanwhile, Collingwood supporters who can't get into the MCG for Friday night's blockbuster clash with Richmond can head to Margaret Court Arena, where up to 5000 people will be allowed inside from 6.45pm AEST.
Tickets cost $10 and will be available through Ticketek later this week.
Past Magpies players are expected to attend and the event will be open to all fans, not just members, with food and alcohol to be served.
Food and alcohol will be served, merchandise will also be on sale and there are door prizes to be won.
The Tigers, however, won't be holding a live site.
"We want as many Collingwood fans to share in Friday night as possible," Pies CEO Mark Anderson said.
"Unfortunately, not everyone can get a ticket to the match, but the experience of being with our own and living out every second of it can extend beyond the stadium.
"It was the least we could do. Our fans understand the power of coming together and sharing their passion.
"Collingwood fans are renowned for their rabid support of their teams. Creating a live site is a way of allowing as many of them as possible to connect and enjoy a great occasion."
Dees fans are encouraged to arrive early on Saturday – from 2.30pm AEST onwards – with capacity limited given it is not a ticketed event.
Fans are reminded that Federation Square is an alcohol-free space, while weekend parking rates will be available.
Those in the southeast of Melbourne can attend a live site at Bunjil Plaza in Narre Warren, with a big screen showing the game at the City of Casey's new entertainment precinct.
The game starts at 3.20pm AEST (1.20pm AWST).
