PORT Adelaide is resigned to being without star midfielder/forward Chad Wingard for up to three games with an ankle injury.
Wingard will have scans on Monday to determine the extent of the damage, but the Power have conceded he won't be fit to face St Kilda at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
"At this point he's probably one of those two- to three-week (injuries)," Power senior assistant coach Matthew Nicks told Triple M.
"It's a high ankle sprain.
"We watched the replay back … he had the weight on it and got rolled inwards."
Wingard rolled his ankle in the third quarter of the Power's 23-point loss to Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday and was on crutches after the game.
"We'll definitely lose him for a few, fingers crossed it is nothing major," Nicks said.
Wingard has successfully moved to the midfield this season, averaging 22 possessions per game while also booting 19 goals.
