COLLINGWOOD star Jamie Elliott was arrested and fined for being drunk in a public place after he was caught urinating in a wheelie bin in North Melbourne early last Sunday morning.
A statement from Victoria Police confirmed the incident.
"Police arrested a 25-year-old man for being drunk in North Melbourne early Sunday morning (5 Nov)," the statement read.
"It's understood the Richmond man was seen urinating into a bin on Victoria Street about 4.50am.
"He was released and fined $634 for being drunk in a public place."
Elliott has confirmed to the club the incident happened.
He is on leave and will return to the club on Monday, November 20, when the club will talk to him further.
