DAN McSTAY has been ruled out of the Brisbane Lions team to play West Coast on Sunday with a shoulder injury.
McStay suffered the knock to his AC joint in the victory over Carlton last weekend and has been withdrawn from this week's 22 after being selected on Thursday.
It opens the door for 20-year-old Sam Skinner to make his debut.
Skinner was chosen to play his first game against Port Adelaide in round 19 last season, but tragically suffered an ACL injury at the team's final training session.
It was the second such injury for the key defender in two years.
When he runs out against the Eagles at Domain Stadium, it will be exactly one year to the day since Skinner was expected to make his debut.
The 197cm powerhouse was chosen with the 47th pick in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft.
