PORT Adelaide ruckman Matthew Lobbe has been ruled out of the Power's clash with Greater Western Sydney at UNSW Canberra Oval with a suspected hamstring injury.
Lobbe sustained the injury at training this week and the club is yet to determine a timeframe for his return.
Lobbe was set to play his first game of the season to replace Paddy Ryder, who accepted a one-game ban for striking Adelaide forward Riley Knight in the Showdown last weekend.
The Power's ruck duties will be shared between Jackson Trengove, Charlie Dixon and Justin Westhoff to go against Giants big man Shane Mumford.
The Power will also welcome back running defender Jasper Pittard, who made his return from a hamstring injury in the SANFL last weekend.
Pittard – who was in the 40-man All Australian squad last year – injured his hamstring against Richmond in the JLT Community Series.
Forward Brett Eddy has been dropped and will play for the Port Adelaide Magpies against Norwood in the SANFL on Thursday night.
Midfielder Matthew White hasn't been named in the SANFL side, opening the door for him to play his first AFL game this season.
White was an emergency for the Showdown last weekend.
