TOM LIBERATORE is back in the Western Bulldogs team after three weeks in the VFL.

Liberatore was confirmed in the Bulldogs' 22 to take on Melbourne on Sunday after they finalised their team on Friday.

The prolific midfielder played the first eight games of the season before an eight-touch performance against West Coast resulted in getting the chop from coach Luke Beveridge.

Liberatore is one of five inclusions to the team that lost to Sydney last week, with premiership players Tom Boyd, Dale Morris and Zaine Cordy joined by Mitch Honeychurch, who hasn't played a senior game since round 13 last year and just his third since the 2015 elimination final.

Matthew Boyd fell victim to Beveridge's axe this week, while Travis Cloke (soreness) and Marcus Adams (foot) will also miss.

Melbourne has named an unchanged team from the one that defeated Collingwood on Monday.

The Demons will again play with no recognised ruckman, with Jake Spencer named as an emergency.
