SECOND overall draft pick Andrew Brayshaw will wear the coveted No.8 guernsey in his debut season for Fremantle.
Brayshaw will become just the third Docker to wear the jumper, following former captain and favourite son Shaun McManus, who wore it 228 times, and fellow life member Nick Suban (156).
McManus presented the young Victorian with his new guernsey on Friday.
Adam Cerra will wear the same jumper number as his draft selection, after he was presented the number five by Fremantle life member Garrick Ibbotson.
Ibbotson, who announced his retirement in August after 177 games, played all but 20 of his games for the club in the number five.
McManus and Ibbotson were also on hand to allocate player numbers to all members of Fremantle’s bumper draft crop.
Midfielder Mitch Crowden (12), key forward Hugh Dixon (17), midfielder Tom North (24) and ruckman Lloyd Meek (30) all received their numbers.
Sam Switkowski, Scott Jones, Bailey Banfield and Stefan Giro will all sit next to each other in the locker room, allocated numbers 39, 40, 41 and 42 respectively.
Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich said the No.29, worn by six-time club champion Matthew Pavlich, would "rest" for a second straight season.
Off-season recruits Brandon Matera and Nathan Wilson are yet to be allocated their numbers, but No.3 and No.14 are available following the retirement of Zac Dawson and the trade of Lachie Weller to Gold Coast.
