COLLINGWOOD marquee forward Moana Hope is the latest footballer to be caught speeding, following Joel Selwood's booking on Friday afternoon.
Hope was booked driving at 97km an hour in an 80km an hour zone on Saturday morning, before the team's breakthrough first win over the Western Bulldogs.
She was fined and lost three demerit points for driving 17km an hour over the speed limit.
Collingwood women's football operations manager Meg Hutchins said the incident was a reminder to all players about the importance of road safety.
"As a club, we expect all our athletes to behave safely and within the rules on our roads and we are extremely disappointed in Moana's actions," Hutchins told collingwoodfc.com.au.
"We take matters of road safety very seriously and understand that speeding is a contributor to many road accidents. We also understand that our players are role models and this behaviour is not in line with the standards we set as a club."
The Magpies have not announced a penalty for Hope, who has struggled to recapture the form that saw her kick 106 goals for St Kilda Sharks in the VFL Women's competition last year.
Hope has kicked just two goals in four games this year, often battling with two defenders at a time, and has not been helped by poor disposal from the Magpies' midfield.
Geelong captain Selwood was caught driving at 127km an hour in a 100 km an hour zone on Friday afternoon. He will lose his licence for a month.
