HAWTHORN are in unfamiliar territory at 0-4, but AFL Fantasy coaches aren’t too keen to ride the bumps with a grin. A pair of Hawks are the two most traded out players this week in Fantasy Classic.
Despite being in the black for the season, increasing $28,000 from his starting price, Jarryd Roughead (FWD, $401,000) has faced the axe from his some of his owners. Hawthorn’s skipper was selected by more than half of the competition but his 56 has seen many move him on.
A downgrade to Harley Balic (MID/FWD, $178,000) or a $25,000 upgrade to Alex Neal-Bullen (MID/FWD, $426,000) seems to be the go. Neal-Bullen has been impressive in the last two weeks with scores of 141 and 95 giving him a break-even of 12.

The other Hawk getting the chop is Jaeger O’Meara (MID, $380,000). His ownership dropped considerably last week when he was an omission from the Easter Monday game, unable to get up from a knock to the knee the previous week.
An average of 70 isn’t enough according to Fantasy coaches who expected bigger things from the former Sun who averaged more than 90 in each of the seasons he has taken part in.
More than ever, Fantasy Classic is a trading game. Jumping off players who aren’t doing their job for those who are exceeding expectations and smashing through their break-even is how this game is played.
The Traders will be chatting all things Fantasy from 6pm AEST. Roy, Calvin and Warnie discuss the ins and outs for round five, the best captain options and they’ll be taking your questions to help you navigate the big five days of footy coming up.
