THE CLEAN-OUT at Gold Coast continues with football manager Marcus Ashcroft to move on at the end of the year.
It follows on from coach Rodney Eade not having his contract extended in August while former CEO Andrew Travis resigned from the post in February.
Stuart Dew and Mark Evans have taken charge of those roles respectively.
The hunt for a new football manager will start immediately.
Ashcroft started at the club as an assistant in 2008 and was promoted to football manager the following year.
He was on the panel to appoint Dew and will stay on as football manager through the NAB AFL Trade Period, with the Suns yet to finalise a deal to see Gary Ablett return to Geelong.
"Marcus and I have been discussing this decision for some time and to his credit he has continued to put the club first," Evans said.
"He provided me great support as the club identified Stuart Dew as our new coach. He will continue to guide the football department through the current Trade Period and will assist in the transition to handover to a new general manager of football in the near future.
"His legacy to the Suns, Lions and the AFL speaks for itself and I have great confidence that Marcus will not be lost to the industry."
Meanwhile, several changes have been made to the coaching panel.
Matthew Lappin has been moved on from head of development. Dean Solomon has been promoted to be Dew's senior assistant, while George Stone and Shaun Hart have been added to the coaching panel.
Matthew Primus, Andy Lovell and Ashley Prescott have received new contracts.
Hart was at Port Adelaide this year as director of academies and will take over Lappin's position.
The 2001 Norm Smith medallist was previously with the Suns as an assistant coach, having joined at the same time as Ashcroft.
Solomon was the caretaker coach for the final three games of the season after Eade was sacked.
Stone was a mentor for Dew at Sydney, one of three clubs he has worked at.
"The club is thrilled to welcome the experience and expertise of George Stone and Shaun Hart," Evans said.
"George is a successful coach and he and Stuart have a great relationship. He will play an important role supporting Stuart and our coaches.
"Shaun has a strong history with the club, many who have worked with him in the past speak so highly of him and we are delighted to welcome him back to the Gold Coast."
