EMERGING Sydney leaders Isaac Heeney and Callum Mills have set the standard at the club's first pre-season session of the year.
The Swans' younger players braved wet conditions to complete a running and skills session, with Heeney and fellow academy product Mills leading the way.
Delisted duo Alex Johnson and Sam Fisher also hit the track as they attempt to win back their spot on the Swans' list.
It was a new-look Sydney coaching staff overseeing the morning, with Steve Johnson, Dean Cox, Jeremy Laidler and Tadhg Kennelly all on board for next season.
Kennelly, who played 197 games and played a key role on the Swans' 2005 premiership, told the club's website he was excited to be back at the club.
"(I was) probably a bit apprehensive about coming back in again - it's like my first day of school," he said.
"Most of the players have moved on, there's still a couple left, but the coaching structure has changed dramatically.
"A bit nervous, I was, but I've been back for a couple of weeks now and we're now back training.
"It's always interesting watching. You can pick up a few things from the young men when they arrive at training. You don't have control over them for the eight weeks while they're away but they all showed up pretty well today."
Kennelly and Laidler are part of the club's development team, with Johnson and Cox on board as assistant coaches to John Longmire.
