ADELAIDE club champion Matt Crouch is "comfortable" going into the last season of his contract as the Crows face a battle to re-sign a galaxy of stars.
The 22-year-old capped a sensational year when he became the second-youngest winner of the Malcolm Blight Medal on Friday night.
Crouch's rise to the ranks of the competition's elite midfielders is set to result in a sizeable pay rise.
The top three finishers in the Crows' best and fairest count - Crouch, vice-captain Rory Sloane and All Australian defender Rory Laird - are all off-contract at the end of 2018.
Forward Tom Lynch (seventh), half-back flanker Brodie Smith (ninth) and winger Rory Atkins are among those also unsigned beyond next season.
"I haven't really thought about it too much, I've been concentrating on finals footy," Crouch said.
"I have still got another year to run on my contract, so I'm comfortable where that's at."
Crouch had an outstanding season, breaking the League record for possessions with 825 and earning All Australian honours for the first time.
The Crows will be desperate to retain Crouch and avoid another situation of a talented young player demanding a trade back to Victoria, as has been the case with defender Jake Lever.
Lever was advised not to attend the club champion function after nominating Melbourne as his club of choice next season.
"I'm not really sure what's been going on, but he's not here tonight," Crouch said.
"You never want to see guys leave footy clubs.
"It's always sad when blokes leave, especially when you're in a window for success.
"That's his decision and we'll move on as a footy club."
The Crows might also lose contracted forward Charlie Cameron, who has requested a trade to the Brisbane Lions.
Crouch will use the hurt of last weekend's Grand Final loss to Richmond as a driving force during the off-season.
"It will still be in the back of my mind," Crouch said.
